“This PRS is perfect for anyone who wants an awesome quality, versatile, rockin’ guitar at an affordable price. I love it; try it out!” – Orianthi

Orianthi has been playing PRS since 1997 when she traded acoustic for electric guitar after seeing Carlos Santana in concert in her native Australia. Less than ten years later, Carlos Santana affirmed, “If I was going to pass the baton to somebody, she would be my first choice.” Orianthi has jammed with and supported such legendary musicians as Carlos Santana, Steve Vai, ZZ Top, and Michael Jackson, more than earning her spot as a guitar great.

The 2012 SE Orianthi recieves the new beveled SE carve and push/pull tone control with 3-way blade switch (previously a 3-way toggle with no coil tapping). The guitar goddess’s finish is also changing – from Red Sparkle to Scarlet Red.

SE Paul Allender

Paul Allender, lead guitarist of Cradle of Filth, is no stranger to the PRS SE Signature lineup. Paul started playing PRS when he left Cradle of Filth and started the band The Blood Devine. He purchased a secondhand CE24 and used it exclusively throughout the band’s days and brought it with him when he rejoined Cradle of Filth in 2000. He then sent a design of his own to PRS featuring a purple and black sunburst on a curly maple top and replacing PRS’s traditional bird inlays with bats. PRS built this guitar for Allender through the Private Stock department, which eventually influenced his original SE model released in 2007. The SE Paul Allender features a 24 fret wide thin maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and jumbo frets, EMG pickups and coil-tapped volume and tone controls.

SE Mikael Akerfeldt

“I’m a writer, a rhythm, lead, and acoustic player. I try to be as versatile as possible, that’s why I needed a guitar that can match those ambitions both live and in the studio. On top of things, it’s proper eye candy too!” – Mike Åkerfeldt

PRS welcomes frontman Mike Åkerfeldt of Opeth to the PRS family with this signature model SE. One of the first SE models to include old-school bird inlays, the Åkerfeldt signature model SE is both handsome and versatile. The 24 jumbo frets, PRS designed tremolo bridge, SE HFS and SE Vintage Bass pickups, volume and tone control with a 3-way toggle switch all add to this guitar’s unique voice, while the Opeth “O” on the body, tortoise shell finish, and gold hardware give this model a unique look.SE Mikael Akerfeldt$679
